Calling all artists – BITE: Artists Making Prints

— April 2012

Deadline for submissions: 21 June 2012, 12 noon

Building on the success of the first Bite exhibition, this year, a second Bite is being mounted this year, showcasing all that is best about printmaking in Britain today. It provides artists with an opportunity to exhibit their work in the newly redesigned Mall Galleries in the heart of London, plus the chance to win a great selection of artist prizes and awards.

Artists and printmakers may submit up to SIX fresh, innovative and exciting works for an exhibition held at the Mall Galleries in central London 3–15 September 2012. BITE’s selectors welcome all original printmaking methods (including lithography, etching, screenprinting, drypoint, woodcut, linocut, monoprint, aquatint, mezzotint) and a large number of artist prizes are available to be won. The best work selected from the open submission will be exhibited alongside a selection of work from artists invited by BITE’s panel of selectors.

And this year, a simple and convenient two-stage selection process has been introduced. Artists register online and upload images of their work for digital pre-selection. If their work is preselected, they will be invited to hand in the actual work to be shown to the selectors, who will decide whether or not to accept it for the exhibition.
