First Friday Events at the Edward Hopper House Art Center

First Fridays take place on the first Friday of each month throughout Nyack as a means of celebrating the rich artistic culture of the village.  Businesses throughout Nyack have opening receptions and other events from 5–8p.m. on First Friday.  At the Edward Hopper House:

2 May 2014, 7p.m. ––Curator’s Talk: Elizabeth Thompson Colleary, curator of the current Josephine Nivison Hopper exhibitions, discusses the artist’s life and work.

Artist of the Month in the Gift shop opening receptions:

2 May 5–7 p.m. – Jan Valerie Polk

At Home with Edward and Jo Hopper – Annual Spring Fundraiser

Date: Sunday, 4 May , 3–5:30 p.m.  Tickets $75 per person.

Artists, scholars, and various experts in the field will give tours of the Edward Hopper House and discuss the life and work of Edward and Josephine Hopper.  With sparking wine, refreshments, a silent auction, and more.
