Paul Sandby RA (1730–1809), Roche Abbey, Yorkshire. Watercolour and bodycolour on paper. Exhibitor: Charles Nugent

The Works on Paper Fair, the annual art fair specializing in drawings, watercolours, prints and photographs, is being held Thursday 5 - Sunday 8 February 2015 at the Science Museum in South Kensington, London.

The 2015 Fair will bring together around 45 specialist art dealers, selling a range of works on paper, including watercolours, drawings, and prints, from all eras of art history. As works on paper are generally priced considerably lower than oils on canvas, the fair is known for presenting an affordable way of acquiring work by ‘big name’ artists. Prices range from £250 to around £75,000. And of course, you can just go along and look.

Art dealer, Guy Peppiatt, of Guy Peppiatt Fine Art, says of the event:

I think in general there are too many fairs all trying to reach the same buyers and competing for the same exhibitors. However, the Works on Paper Fair is unique, almost in the world, in only having works on paper. It is different for visitors, and not the 'same old, same old' of so many fairs – that gives the fair a fresh, exciting feel and for many visitors it's the one fair they don't want to miss.

John Robertson, of John Robertson Fine Paintings, added:

Our USP remains a curious yet distinctive mix of serious-minded, friendly dealers many of whom have decades of experience covering Old Master Drawings to Contemporary Graphics by international blue chip names

The Fair, run annually since 1999, is returning for the 6th consecutive year to the Science Museum. Amongst the exhibitors are leading dealers from throughout the UK, several of whom show only at the Works on Paper Fair:
