Pick Me Up Selects

A fresh line-up of artists and designers, selected by festival curators as ‘ones-to-watch’ in 2015, are presenting new work especially for festival-goers. Many past Selects artists have gone on to achieve international acclaim – Hattie Stewart, Sarah Maycock and Jean Jullien. Don’t miss French artist Thomas Lamadieu’s Sky Art project, Gaurab Thakali’s paintings that evoke Prohibition America and animator Jack Cunningham.

Collectives, Galleries & Studios

Both emerging and established talent have set up interactive workspaces for the 12 days of the festival. The studios offer visitors plenty of opportunities to engage with the artists and designers directly, see work being made onsite, and even create your own work. Don’t miss Blink Art with their artists such as Rob Flowers, Pate and Peter Judson, and design studio La Tigre.

Pick Me Up Platform

Each day of the festival there is an extensive schedule of talks, demonstrations, presentations and interviews, all free with entry to the festival. This hub of activity has daily strands of events that include a ‘Show and Tell’ with this year’s Selects artists, magazine editors considering what makes great work, and Pick Me Up TV with a special broadcast streamed live from Somerset House.
