The new Chelsea Art Fair

Thursday, 11 April  to Sunday, 14 April 2013

Chelsea Old Town Hall, London SW3

The new Chelsea Art Fair will take place at Chelsea Old Town Hall, King’s Road, London SW3 5EE between Thursday, April 11 to Sunday, April 14, 2013.

Art Lovers, keen collectors and first-time buyers should head down the King’s Road to visit the Fair, which will offer contemporary and modern works of art (flat and three-dimensional) from respected galleries in London and further-a-field with prices ranging from £500 up to £20,000.

The organizers have been working hard to give the 17-year-old fair a new look and feel. Recently appointed Fair director, Ben Cooper said:

I am delighted to be working on the new Chelsea Art Fair, and very excited about its new look and layout, which will create a very different and more exciting atmosphere to this wonderfully central location. We will have a late night opening; so there is no excuse not to come along to see the wide variety of great art on show.

Impressive objects for sale will include wire mesh sculpture Earth Dance by Nikki Taylor, which will be offered by Neville Contemporary Art. Nikki was commissioned to do five similar sculptures for Team GB House for the Olympics.  East End Gallery ELEVEN AND A HALF brings a feel of West Cornwall to the Fair. Bronze and oak sculpture The Darkening Dawn by Chris Buck, measures 33cm high and will have a tantalizing asking price of £1,125.

Cameron Contemporary will be bringing some of the best Contemporary Scottish Women Artists to the Fair and the Wren Gallery will be show-casing Trisha Hardwick's magnificent still lifes.

Galleries from all over the UK and Ireland will be showing some of their artists' highlights, which won't be on view at any other London shows.
