Alison Wilding to join selectors for this year's Jerwood Drawing Prize

— May 2014

Associated media

Alison Wilding is part of the selection committee for the 2014 Jerwood Drawing Prize, creating an exhibition that explores the diversity and excellence of current drawing practice in the UK.

The Jerwood Drawing Prize is open to all UK-based artists – from student to established – working with drawing. The selectors will bring together up to 70 works for an exhibition at Jerwood Space, London (17 September–26 October 2014), followed by a tour to venues across the UK.

Wilding joins 2014 selectors Gavin Delahunty, Senior Curator of Contemporary Art, Dallas Museum, and Dr Janet McKenzie, author and co-editor of Studio International.

A new sculpture by Alison Wilding, Shimmy, is now on permanent display at 10 New Burlington Street, London, commissioned by The Crown Estate and Exemplar, and curated by Modus Operandi.

For a closer look at Shimmy, see the video of the work by Will Scott, above.
