Ian Rank-Broadley’s portrait sculpture of the young Napoleon

Ian Rank-Broadley’s Young Napoleon at FACE2014

Ian Rank-Broadley’s portrait sculpture of the young Napoleon will be the centrepiece of the Society of Portrait Sculptors’ FACE2014 exhibition next week.

Opening on Monday 12 May the exhibition showcases portrait sculpture today. The Society of Portrait Sculptors is a representative body of professional sculptors committed to making portrait and figurative sculpture accessible to a wider public. The Society's Annual Open Exhibition is the only forum for contemporary portrait sculpture in the UK and consists of about 70 sculptures of which approximately one-third are chosen from open submission from non-members. It is an international exhibition and open to entries worldwide.

This is Rank-Broadley’s second new work seen this month – the first, a commemorative statue of D-Day hero Lord Lovat, was unveiled on Sword Beach on Thursday 8 May.
