A panel discussion will cover what goes in to making an artist's book

Special event at the London Art Book Fair

Those attending the London Art Book Fair at the Whitechapel Art Gallery this weekend (27/28 September) can listen to an interesting discussion on the making of an artist’s book. The 'artist's book' is an artform in itself, not to be confused with a book simply by or about an artist.

Black Sun - The making of an artist's book

Sunday, 28 September, 1–2.30p.m.

Creative Studio, Whitechapel Gallery, London

Artist Shezad Dawood, editor Gerrie van Noord and graphic designers Oliver Knight and Rory McGrath (OK-RM) discuss the process of making the artist's book Black Sun

Drawing upon their two-year collaboration, the panellists reflect upon the role of the artist's book and its potential to expand upon an artist's work in new, exciting ways.

This event is part of the sixth London Art Book Fair at Whitechapel Gallery, London.

Book online here [£5/£3].

A free book signing with Shezad Dawood will take place at the Ridinghouse stand (Stand 2) following the event.
