Alice Anderson's show at the Wellcome Collection, London, opens this week

Alice Anderson: Memory Movement Memory Objects

Wednesday 22 July–Sunday 18 October

Over 100 works by artist Alice Anderson will be displayed at the Wellcome Collection. Anderson’s sculptures are entirely mummified in copper thread, creating glistening landscapes of beautiful, uncanny and transformed objects. Each piece is an exploration and act of memory.

This FREE exhibition will also feature an immersive experience, ‘the Studio’, extending the creative process of the artist’s practice into the gallery. Visitors will be able to spend time mummifying a 1967 Ford Mustang and other smaller objects with copper wire, creating an atmosphere that is at once meditative and communal.
