Musicians will entertain visitors to The Lowry on the first Saturday night of every month

The Lowry launches 'After Hours in the Galleries' with an ensemble of local musicians on the first Saturday of every month

Every first Saturday of the month The Lowry’s galleries will open late into the evening with live music and speciality drinks. The summer programme will include music from Manchester-based Harpist Katie Brett, who studied at the Royal Northern College of Music; the all-female Abelia Saxophone Quartet, who formed at the Royal Northern College of Music, and Jazz vocalist Zoë Gilby.

Over the course of the summer programme, visitors to After Hours in the galleries will get a unique opportunity to see The Lowry’s outstanding exhibitions ‘L.S Lowry: The Art & The Artist’ and ‘extraORDINARY’ in a relaxed, social setting accompanied by music from some of the best local musicians specializing in classical and jazz music.

Whether you’re visiting after work, before a show or teaming your visit to the galleries with a meal on the Quays, this is the perfect opportunity for visitors to The Lowry to see exhibitions late in to the evening set to music with themed drinks. The late openings will have live performances and talks, and boast 20% off a pop-up bar.
